We’ve put together answers to some of the questions we’re asked most often to help make planning your visit simple and stress-free. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, our friendly team will be happy to help.
Do you have an electric car charging point?
Not at the moment but we are working on it. However, there are several electric charging points located in Blaenau Ffestiniog
Do you have a secure bike storage facility?
Yes we do – the secure area has racks which can take up to 12 road bikes or 10 cross/trail bikes. There is also a drying room within this area.
Is there off road parking?
Yes there is – we have 2 main entry points to our property depending from which direction you’re travelling, with a total of 26 free parking spaces along the tarmac driveway in 2 areas. We have parking at the side (which is on a fairly steep slope up to the hotel) and also on a flat level in front of the hotel which includes 3 dedicated disabled parking spaces.
Does the hotel have lifts?
Yes we do – a dedicated lift to access the first floor bedrooms, but also a battery operated chair lift as an alternative method. There is a ramp as an alternative route to access the lounge which ensures that all public spaces are fully accessible to all. We also have an external lift from the car park to the main hotel entrance as an alternative to the steps which are also available.
Will you accept group bookings?
Yes we do – we can take small or larger bookings up to exclusive use of the hotel. Early booking is recommended if you wish to utilise the full hotel for private use, so pick up the phone to discuss your requirements with the Hotel staff.
How far away are you from Snowdon mountain?
Gwesty Seren is located 34 miles from Llanberis via the A487 road.
Does the hotel serve evening meals?
Unfortunately, we are unable to serve evening meals at the moment but we can advise on several nearby establishments serving a variety of food choices at different price points to cater to all budgets, including eat in as well as take away choices. Transport can be arranged should this be required.
Will the hotel take children?
Yes we do, and in fact have a family room which can sleep 4 people (bunk beds) as well as interconnecting rooms for a little bit more privacy. Children will require adult supervision.
Do you have an extra bed/cot?
Extra beds/cots are available at £15 per person per night. We offer the free use of a travel cot.
Are the duvets and pillows feather free?
Yes – all our bedding is feather free to reduce the risk of allergies.
Can you cater for Celiac allergies?
Yes we can – please advise at the earliest possible opportunity, ideally at booking and we will endeavour to ensure the widest possible choices to meet your needs.

Do you serve cream and/or afternoon tea?
Yes, afternoon tea is available by booking at least 24 hours in advance. Enjoy tea, pastries, scones, jam and cream and sandwiches, plus your choice of beverages and can be served in our dining areas or on the front patio. Alternatively, mix things up to include a glass of Prosecco as a special treat. See our menu for further selections.
Do you serve food throughout the day?
We don’t currently serve any other food other than breakfast at the moment, although we do offer cold packed lunches should you wish to pre-book these. Please discuss any special dietary needs with staff so that we can accommodate your needs.
Do you offer room service?
This is not a service that Gwesty Seren currently provides.
What time is check in and out?
Check in is from 15:00 onwards. Should you expect to arrive earlier than this, please let us know in advance and we will endeavour to ensure your room is ready for your arrival where possible, although we cannot guarantee this. Late arrivals (22:00 onwards during the main season but earlier during winter months) can also be accommodated by prior arrangement. Guests are kindly requested to check out by 10:00 on the day of departure, however arrangements can be made to store luggage should you wish to take full advantage of the day. Our accessible toileting facility also has a shower which guests can use to freshen up even if they have checked out of their room.
Do you have wheelchair accessible rooms?
Yes – all our ground floor public rooms are accessible and several of our bedrooms have been specifically designed to accommodate accessibility up to full requirements including wet rooms.
What facilities do the rooms have?
All rooms have a private bath and/or power showers, complementary bathing products, towels, extra pillows available upon request, shaving points, a hairdryer (straightening irons are available upon request), a flat screen 32-inch smart digital TV, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities with complementary home-made biscuits made daily on site.
Are you a smoking friendly establishment?
We are a non smoking hotel, in accordance with Welsh Laws, however we have a designated smoking area.
