Blaenau Ffestiniog is situated at the heart of Gwynedd, surrounded by mountains, off road trails including forestry routes and superb views.
Gwesty Seren is situated almost at the top of Allt Goch, which averages a gradient of 5.7%, with the steepest quarter of a mile running at a 10.8% gradient and the steepest continuous mile running at an 8% gradient. This hill has been a popular inclusion on the Tour de Britain and other similar cycling routes due to the inherent challenge of this steep climb.
Not only popular among road bikers, the area’s hilly terrain lends itself to the many trails for Cross Country biking offering a variety of challenges up to black level if you’re very daring!
A perfect destination for bikers, we have invested in secure storage within the Hotel for our guests’ peace of mind. We can provide enough storage room for up to 12 road bikes or 10 cross trail bikes as well as storage for helmets and other basic equipment.
For guests using electrical bikes, we also have plenty of sockets to charge your own docking charge stations in the storage room. There is also an external hose down facility and an internal sink unit within the bike storage area for those particularly muddy days.
Bikers are welcome to take advantage of the external maintenance station at the front of the hotel which includes all the basic tools and space to maintain bikes.
… and should you get caught in the rain during the day, we have a dedicated dry room within the secure storage which is just the ticket to dry everything overnight.
